Appreciation App Privacy Policy

Marcin Kaźmierczak is the controller of personal data for the Meeting Application as per provisions of personal data protection regulations.

Users of the application may include physical persons, legal persons and organizational units with no own legal personality.

Legal basis for processing personal data:

1. Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regards to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”,

In relation to the processing of personal data by the CPD, the user has the following rights:

  1. the right to request access to their personal data, to amend the data, remove the data or to limit the processing of the data,
  2. the right to object to the processing of the data,
  3. the right to withdraw consent for the processing of personal data for a particular purpose, if the user previously gave such consent,
  4. the right to file a complaint to the proper supervising body with regards to the processing of the data by the CPD.
  5. The user may take advantage of the above rights in accordance with the terms listed in art. 16 – 21 of GDPR, by contacting the CPD using the following e-mail address:

Disclosure of personal data by the user is always voluntary, but it is required for the user to be able to use the Appreciation App.

CPD guarantees confidentiality of all personal data which it obtains and ensures that it will undertake proper means of security and protect personal data by all means required by regulations regarding protection of personal data. Personal data is gathered with the highest degree of professional care and protected from access by unauthorised persons. Any personal data gathered by the CPD is only processed within the territory of the European Union.

CPD does not transfer and does not trade any personal data of its users. Personal data of the user is not transferred to any other persons or institutions, without the consent of the user. The personal data processed by the CPD may be disclosed to proper national authorities upon their request and only on the basis of the current provisions of the law.

CPD entrusts or may entrust the processing of personal data to the following entities:

Netlify, Amazon Web Services, LH, Digital Ocean – with the purpose of storing data on servers,

HubSpot – with the purpose of using the mailing system,

HubSpot, Slack – with the purpose of using a sales system,


Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.

You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users' needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users' experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don't like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users' behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf. E-mail correspondence

When contacting the CPD via e-mail, the user discloses their email address as the sender of a message. Moreover, the message sent by the user may include other personal data. The legal basis for processing personal data in such case is the consent resulting from initiating contact with the CPD. Personal data of the user which is shared with CPD as part of e-mail correspondence is processed only with the purpose of processing the email request from the user. Contents of the correspondence may be archived.

User's content

The user grants the CPD a non-exclusive and unlimited license to any content transferred to the CPD is does not constitute personal data, for the entire time when they use the application, in the following fields of use: creating, multiplication, displaying and reproducing in public, storing within the memory of a computer, a server or a computer network or any other storage device, and publishing on the Internet.

The User is obliged to refrain from:

providing false ur outdated information or personal data,

publishing any offensive content, content which is in breach of any laws or any legally protected right of any third persons,

copying, modifying, distributing, transmitting or using in any other way of any content or databases shared with them as part of the application, with the exception of making use of them within the allowed scope of use,

undertaking any activities, which may obstruct or disturb the functioning of the application or using the application in any way which would cause inconvenience to any other users,

using the application in any way which would be in breach of the current law, principles of morality, infringe any personal rights of third persons or interests of the Controller of Personal Data.

Server logs

Using the Appreciation App is related to sending requests to a server on which the application is stored. Each such request is stored within server logs.

The Logs include, among others, the IP address, date and server time, information about the browser and operating system used by the user. Logs are gathered and stored on the server.

Any data stored within server logs is not paired with any particular person using the service and it is not used by the CPD to identify its users.

Server logs are only used as auxiliary material for the purpose of administering the application and their content is not ever disclosed to anyone other than authorised server administrators.
